WELCOME

Who are we?

We are a group of Christians who worship and work together serving God by obeying Him and proclaiming His good news to the world. We believe in nondenominational Christianity as revealed in the New Testament and as established in the first century by Christ. With the Bible as our ONLY guide, we seek to find what the original church was like and restore it to that pattern.

We are members of the church which Jesus established and for which He died.

We are confident that those who follow Christ can be united in Him based upon the pattern of His word.

We invite you and your family to come to visit and study with us.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Congregational Singing - We will sing songs of praise unto God as instructed in Ephesians 5:19 and Colossians 3:16. We do not use mechanical instruments of music in our worship to God in song, as we do not have the authority to do such.

Praying - We are led by different men in our congregation (1 Timothy 2:1-8).

Bible-based Preaching - Preaching is something the early church continued in with great diligence (Acts 2:42). Preaching will save those who believe (1 Corinthians 1:21) in that the gospel that is proclaimed is God's power to save (Romans 1:16).

The Lord's Supper - Should you be with us on a Sunday, you will find those who are baptized observing the Lord's memorial. The unleavened bread and fruit of the vine signify Christ's body and blood as they were given on the cross for us (Matthew 26:26-29). We observe this memorial weekly as we see our example in the New Testament.

Giving -The only way the church of Christ collects funds for the work we do is through a free-will offering of the saints. This is the only method authorized in the Bible. We do this on the first day of the week as we find our example in (1 Corinthians 16:1-2). If you are visiting with us, we are just happy to have you here and we are not asking for any money from you.

What Must I Do To Be Saved?

OUR PURPOSE

Matthew 28:18-20 KJV

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

"What must I do to be saved?" (Acts 16:30). There is no greater question that one could ask than this. In the religious world, you will find many different answers offered to this question. However, God's word alone is truth (John 17:17). So, to know the truth on how to be saved, we must look to the word of God.

You must hear the words of Christ. In reference to Jesus, the Father said, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!" (Matthew 17:5). The words and commands of Jesus Christ are found in the New Testament (1 Corinthians 14:37). You must hear the message that Jesus died for man's sin, resurrected from the grave, and ascended to the Father where now He reigns as King of kings.

You must believe in Christ. One must be a believer. Faith alone does not make you a child of God, but it does give you the right to become a child of God (John 1:12). Faith is vital as it is necessary to be pleasing unto God (Hebrews 11:6). You must believe that Jesus came to earth, died for your sins, and that He is now the King with all authority (Acts 2:36; Matthew 28:18).

You must repent of your sins. Repentance is a change of mind that is demonstrated by a change in life. Repentance occurs when we see our sins, are sorry for them, choose to do them no longer, and determine to do better. This is commanded by God (Acts 17:30). You must confess your faith. You must be willing to make the good confession publically that you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (Acts 8:37).

After hearing, believing, repenting, and confessing your faith, you must be baptized. The baptism of the Bible is an immersion in water which puts us into Christ and washes away our sins (Acts 2:38; 22:16; Galatians 3:26- 27;1 Peter 3:21). After you are baptized for the remission of your sins, you become a Christian with the hope of an eternity in Heaven. You must remain faithful to the Lord. Baptism is not the end of the Christian life. Rather, baptism is the beginning.

Remain faithful to the Lord all the days of your life in order, by the grace and mercy of God, to have a home in Heaven (1 Corinthians 15:58; Revelation 2:10; 22:14).
